Vision Statement

“A stronger and more resilient Prattsville Community has been realized through economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable initiatives. The Town has become a mainstay of the mountaintop and adds to the vibrancy of the entire Catskill Region. The hamlet has regained its position as a Catskill regional center with renewed investment in Main Street buildings which provide for local community needs and the Town proudly displays and builds upon its unique history with each new endeavor. The ability to live and work in Prattsville has been rehabilitated through educational and economic initiatives that instill the entrepreneurial spirt by providing the tools necessary to revitalize small-town America. Prattsville remains vigilant in reducing the risks and damages of flooding and ensures that homeowners and businesses can recover quickly. The Town’s rural character continues to offer recreational opportunities and now connects residents not only with nature but also with local amenities and each other. Protecting the natural landscape, diversifying the economy, and capitalizing on regional relationships has empowered a higher quality of life throughout the Prattsville community.”
